Quality Versus Quantity – Which One Do You Prefer For Your Blog?

I have a mind-bender question for you – Which one do you prefer for your blog – Quality versus Quantity? Confused!! Right? If you don’t focus on the quality then your blog readers will not notice your articles and if you don’t focus on the quantity then search engines will ignore your blog.

So there is a strife between the two – quality versus quantity. Both are essential in their own place. The path of your blogging career is freed of most of the thorns once you have balanced both. I will make the justification for quality versus quantity by presenting the importance and the outcomes if any of them is missed out.

Quality versus Quantity of blog posts

1. Quality is the key to successful blogging

You maintained a good quantity to gather visitors to your blog but what if they never visit your blog. One of the reasons of happening this is you did not put much emphasis on the quality of your articles. It is this quality content which makes the new readers of your blog convert into returning and loyal visitors.

A good quality content is greatly responsible for driving in web traffic. This good amount of driving traffic comes from the loyal visitors which are the real assets of a blog.

2. Quantity is essential for a jump start

If you are a newbie in the blogosphere, then the prime most aim should be to make the search engines realize your existence. Make sure, your fellow bloggers know that you are there  in their blogging community. You must know about how to build healthy relationship with bloggers.

To be an active member you should be frequent with your blog posting. By focusing on the quantity you will be able to gather audience and make them realize that you are an information library for your niche. A good web traffic to your blog means easily noticed by Google.

3. Quality content is time consuming

If you focus only on the quality of the content and the ways of improvising it more and more then it will take you months and years to make money from your blog and make your blog a brand.

Popularity and brand name doesn’t come overnight. It’s a long process and you ought to have patience for it. Focusing on quality might diminish the quantity of the posts especially for the ones who have newly started it.

4. Quality content enhances subscriptions and money making

A few days blogging will not generate money for you. It demands good reputation, good quality and genuineness. These things will come with quality over time though it is very time consuming.  There are  different ways of making money from blogs. Read this post to  know how -

Visitors will click on paid links, view advertisements, make subscriptions or buy products provided they get quality stuffs.  Subscriptions whether paid or unpaid are a result of quality content. If your contents are of good quality then your readers will not want to miss out any of them. So, they will subscribe to get the recent updates.

5. Quantity is favored by the metric analytics

If you frequently make blog posts then some of the fundamental metric analytics are also favored by it. Page views are increased if you make blog posts regularly. If you have a large number of posts in your blog then someone or the other will land up to your blog and if you have linked other contents then your visitors will view the other articles also and they will stay for a longer period of time.

Ending Summary on Quality versus Quantity of your blog posts!

You need a lot of quality posts to build a blog and make it a brand but focus on the quantity also. Your visitors will expect some more of your posts. In that case my opinion is to keep both balanced.

I think quality is the best end goal, but regular quality makes you predictable to both google AND your readers.

A mix is how I target it.

If you just started a new blog then write many post to quick index your blog and allow your blog to settle well in SERP but after a month try to write well research quality articles.

This type of practice will bring you good authority to your blog and make others to share your article in social sphere that ultimately create tonz of backlinks. :)

    Hi Anubhab,

I must say you made very good points here both for quality and quantity. I’ve always advocated for quality over quantity. Yes, the search engines will reward for quantity but ask yourself, does the search engines click on ads? do they buy your products? Do they signup for your email list?

The answer to all of these is, NO! It’s the human visitors that do that and since they value quality over quality, as you have rightly said, it is better to target them with your content. provide value with your content and success will not be far away!

    Thanks for sharing.
