Karbonn Smart Tab 1 VS Micromax Funbook – Compare
Tablets have finally established their base in India. The success of Reliance 3G tablet, Blackberry Playbook, Milagrow Tabtopand the latest Google Nexus tablet have urged low budget manufacturers like Karbonn and Micromax to also launch their tablets.
The latest product by Karbonn is called the Smart Tab 1 and the one by Micromax is called Funbook. In this post I will give you a detailed review of both by comparing their specs and in the end will give you my final verdict.

The screen size of Smart Tab 1 is slightly bigger than that of Funbook and roughly both are around 7 inches.

PRICE – More or less, the specs and features of these tablets are similar. Now the pricing of Micromax Funbook is Rs.6499 and that of Karbonn Smart Tab is Rs.6990.
Final Verdict – Which Tablet to buy?
Although Micromax Funbook is definitely better than Aakash tablets and many other cheap tablets in the market. But here in comparison to Smart Tab 1, it fails to impress. I say so because of loads of reasons. The capacitive touch of Funbook is pathetic. I mean you literally need to do a knock-knock on its so called capacitive touch screen to make it work. This is not so in case of Karbonn Smart Tab as it is provided with 5 Point Multi-Touch Screen. The battery life fails in case of Micromax Funbook and that in case of Smart Tab is one of the best in low cost tablet segment. Indeed the battery life in case of Smart Tab is somewhere around 7 hours when it is running on internet.
Though Smart Tab 1 does not have a secondary camera but the 2 megapixels is respectable when compared to 0.3 megapixels camera in case of Funbook. Moreover Funbook is more of an educational tablet and you need to pay somewhere around Rs.799 to download one educational application related to your age and interest from the store every time. I think this idea of education on tablet does not impress me and I am pretty sure of it that it will lose its sustainability among the students too.
Cumulatively, I would strongly recommend you Karbonn Smart Tab 1 purely because of its advantages that I mentioned earlier when I compared with the Funbook.
