Improve Page Views – How To Decrease Bounce Rate Of Site

Bounce Rate is the percentage of total visitors who just leave your site by viewing a single page on your site. This is the main factor that will help you improve your site traffic. Increase in bounce rate may lead to many problems in Search Engine Optimization. The fact is people are coming to your site but not liking the content provided by you. Instead of adding posts which provide just a information to that topic, you should start working on improving readership of your blog.

Readership is the most important factor that will help you in gaining more page views, more value and the most importantly – respect among your readers. You must be thinking of – “how to improve readership of your blog ??”
This is the most difficult task but it is not IMPOSSIBLE. I am still fighting because of this issue. My blog is 5 months old and still I am not having regular visitors for my blog. But this theory fails because of Google Panda Algorithm Success. After the post Panda, Google is following a new policy that is followed by Wikipedia. Wikipedia is the website that provide you full information on a popular project, popular news, and popular people all over the world. If you have noticed, Wikipedia is a website that is free and provide accurate information about a popular topic. Wiki Articles are always lengthy and are most preferred by Google. Google Panda is all about writing lengthy posts without posting irrelevant information about any topic. So, you have to write lengthy posts to avail advantage of Search Engine Rankings.

Now coming back to the main point of how to decrease your bounce rate. You must follow some major points to improve page views of your blog :

Adding Related Posts :

Related Posts can help you in improving page views of your blog. You can put them easily below your article. Some of the WordPress Plugins like Linkwithin, nrelate Related Content, Yet Another Related Post Plugin, and WordPress Related Post Plugin. These are one of the most popular plugins that will add some of the related articles below your each article. If you write full information about each topic then there is more probability of visitor viewing more pages. Through this strategy, one can reduce some percentage of bounce rate.

Recent Posts in Sidebar :

Another technique that will help you in decreasing bounce rate is by adding Recent Posts in Sidebar. Also your sidebar must contain “Recent Posts” and “Recent Comments” so that your readers get to know about your blog. These are important points that one must keep in mind while adding widgets in sidebar. If you have “Recent Posts” widget in your sidebar, then visitor can directly move to your new posts without going to your “Home” page. But always keep in mind that you have to concentrate on quality instead of quantity.

Adding Links Between The Posts :

If you have ever noticed Wikipedia Articles, they always linked their terms with their posts. This will surely helps you in reducing bounce rate.
