Everybody in this tech world is having their personal laptop, netbook, tablet or other smarter gadgets. This has become the daily lifestyle. It doesn’t matter – how much your age is, you are addicted to technology. Teenagers are more excited in seeing and reviewing the new technology.
At the time when I was a teenager, I was a serious gamer! Starting from Mario, Contra and going further to God Of War, Resident Evil and Call Of Duty, I love these games and I really miss them. Even now, I love playing games but time does matter a lot. These days, I am again getting more addicted to Burnout Legends on my PlayStation Portable. I love playing on PSP while lying on my bed and even on the move. Just because its handy and the major advantage is – it is PORTABLE.
Playing games on PlayStation is fun and interesting. Many of my friends are having PlayStation 2 or 3. Even some have both of them . They are always making me feel jealous. LOL. PlayStation Consoles are connected to the TV and one can spend whole day while playing on large screen.
But what about those who are still playing on laptop or their PC? They really miss large screen and have to sit closer to the screen. You might end up soon with headache or strain.
There may be many other reasons why you need to switch to larger screen. When you need to view information from a spreadsheet from multiple sites at the same time. You might not be able to read the source from your 17 inches screen. You can do this with the help of your larger TV screen.
You can’t watch movies stored on your laptop with friends and family at the same time. Also, when group of your family members ask you to show them photos stored on your laptop. At such times, you need a larger screen for sure. Using your TV screen may allow you to comfortably show your favorite captured moments.
Another benefit for connecting your laptop to TV is when you have to do a video call using internet. A larger screen will act brilliant in this function.
Coming back to the point – how to connect your Computer or Laptop to your TV :
Step 1. Firstly, you have to identify the connectors on your television and laptop. It can be S-Video input/output or HDMI port or 15-pin VGA.
Step 2. After you have identified, you just have to see what’s common port between your laptop and TV. For example – If your laptop is having HDMI port, then your TV should also have HDMI port to get connected. It can also be 15-pin VGA or S-Video connector in both of them. If your laptop and TV doesn’t have anything common, then you will never be able to connect your laptop to your TV.
Step 3. Get the appropriate cable from the Computer Hardware shop from the market. Cable wire should be S-Video to S-Video or VGA to VGA or HDMI to HDMI.
Step 4. Connect your laptop/Netbook to your TV with the appropriate cable connecting wire.
Step 5. After you connect laptop to TV, you just have to enable the secondary display. Now, Go to Control Panel > Display Option > Enable Mirroring on Secondary Display.
YOU ARE DONE !!
Things to keep in mind : In VGA and an S-Video, only the video stream will go to the TV, not audio. For that, you need an additional cable connecting wire.
